6oz brown sugar
2 eggs
4 fl oz milk
4 fl oz corn oil
1 oz cocoa powder
8 oz self rasing flour
2 tsp baking powder
- Place sugar, eggs, oil and milk in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Add the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and beat until smooth.
- Divide mixture between two lined 7 inch sandwich tins. Bake in a moderate oven for 20-30 minutes until cakes are done. Cool on a wire rack. Join together with jam or cream. Ice and decorate as required.
