Thanks to our wonderful instructor Sandrine we were shimmying and shaking – all while balancing ‘sabers’ on our heads.

We had a great night getting our hands messy & working on designs for our printed tote bags – coming soon to our stall at Queen’s Park Day, Sunday 18th September 2016.
The Bloomsbury Set were described as people who ‘lived in squares and loved in triangles’. We strolled through the Georgian squares of Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia to see the places where the famous writers lived, worked and loved. Virginia Woolf, Lytton Strachey, George Bernard Shaw, T S Eliot, W B Yeats and Charles Dickens are just some of the writers we met on this walk. Our Blue Badge guide tailored this walk for our group & so also focused on many of the influential women who lived & worked in the area; including Vanessa Bell, Marie Stopes, Lady Ottoline Morrell, Lizzie Siddall, Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, Louisa Brandreth Aldrich Blake, Dorothy Richardson, Noor Inayat Khan, Angelica Kaufman, Mary Ward.

We had a really sociable evening creating roses, leaves & other flowers. Most of us had never done anything like this before but we were really pleased with how easy it was to get some lovely results. See the gallery below for a preview of what’s coming soon to a cake stall near you.
