Once again we gathered in a member’s garden for our annual picnic. This is always one of the highlights of the year, and, as ever, a wonderful time was had by all the attendees. Surrounded by WI bunting and fairly lights, we took advantage of the continuing heatwave to feast al fresco on a veritable cornucopia of delights, both savoury and sweet. There was also a poignant moment at the beginning of the proceedings when we all raised a glass in a toast to Pat , our recently departed member and dear friend.
