Owing to the last minute illness of our scheduled speaker, our President Caroline Waterman, our August meeting was a little different. In between our efforts to view the solar eclipse from Kensal Green, with the aid of a colander (Lindsay), home-made pinhole camera (Alison) and finally, a bona fide pair of solar eclipse viewing glasses (Gilli), we gathered on the terrace for Pimms and Elderflower Cordial. It was a rare opportunity to sit down and catch up, and much appreciated by everyone there.
